On March 21, 2017, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) published a notice in the Federal Register announcing the renewal of 187 substances on the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances to conclude the 2017 Sunset Review. The new sunset date for these substances is March 15, 2022. These substances are used in organic crop and livestock production and organic handling/processing.
AMS published a notice to trade on March 16, 2017, to inform stakeholders about this action. For more information:
