The three-day convention, which is one of the largest grower meetings in the Northeast, is packed with concurrent educational sessions. The event will also include an industry tradeshow as well as exciting workshops the day before the main convention starts. Approximately 2,200 attendees are expected to gather at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Pennsylvania for the convention.
According to the Mid-Atlantic Fruit and Vegetable Convention website, the program covers nearly every aspect of fruit, vegetable, potato, strawberry, bramble, cut flower, greenhouse and wine grape production.
The day before the convention begins, growers can chose between a bus tour of York County farm markets or eight different workshops. The workshops include FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) Grower Training, Hands-On Apple Tree Grafting, Cider Symposium, Hops Production, Greenhouse Vegetable Production, Recall Readiness, Vegetable Grafting and Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator License Training.
Registration is open to all interested commercial fruit, vegetable and berry growers, direct marketers and allied industry personnel.
